Hebrew inscriptions: the Ten Commadments, the Hebrew year [5]602 (1842); later inscription: "...For this is a brand plucked from the fire" [Zechariah 3:2], Fradl Scheiner and her family bought and donated [the shield] in memory of their husband and father, David son of Shlomo, during the Great War, [5]703 [1943]"
