Inscribed in Hebrew with the name of the infant: Yoseph, son of Nethanel Halevi, his birth date according to the Hebrew calendar (27/09/1927), part of the customary benediction from the circumcision ceremony, and the signature (probably of the artist) in German: "Hellen Adler 1930"
