This rare dress attest to the unique tradition of the community of Ioannina, distinguished by its minimal absorption of the style brought by the Spanish exiles; rather, it maintained characteristics of Byzantine Judaism, suffused with Ottoman, European, and Greek influences. This dress was passed down from generation to generation, and the family has now gifted it to the Museum.
