Hebrew inscriptions: the Ten Commandments; on the suspended plaque: dedication by Kendl, daughter of Lea, who donated this Torah Shield to the Burial Society of the Holy Community of Vetch (Veča), while still living, so that when prayers are said for the righteous she and her husband Aharon Yizhak, son of Hindl, will also be remembered; and the Hebrew year 5617 (1857)
