Zoya Cherkassky-Nnadi, Israeli, born USSR, 1976.
Zoya Chersky was born in Kiev, USSR (now Ukraine), in 1976. In 1991 she immigrated to Israel. From 1996 to 2002 she worked in collaboration with artist Ruth Namet under the common name "Ruti and Zoya". Since 2011 she has been a member of the "The New Barbizon" group of artists. She lives and works in Tel Aviv-Yafo.
The main work of Cherkassky-Nnadi is in the field of painting. Many of her early works were devoted to criticism of the world of art and culture, using the pop art style. Since the 2000s, most of her subjects describe Israeli culture and the culture of immigrants in Israel in a more expressive and descriptive style.
