Paul Fux, Israeli painter, born in Salonta, Bihor, Romania, 1922 -died 2011
Paul Fux was born in Transylvania, Romania. He spent 1943-1945 in a forced labor camp in Poland. In 1945-1955, he worked as a book illustrator and graphic designer for newspapers. In 1955-1970, he designed stage decor and became a leading set designer for puppet theater in Oradia, Romania. He was head of graphics at Sonnenfeld Printers in Nagyvarad, Romania. In 1970, Fux immigrated to Israel, settling in Jerusalem.
