Karen Russo, video artist, born 1974, Tel Aviv. Published an artist book, 2001, "Hamidrasha 4", Babel Publishing. 2004, "Encyclopedia Thermica", Omanut La 'Am Press; "She tries to represent that which a culture represses... how the Romantic tradition's now -repressed notion of passionate artistic creativity constantly returns in contemporary culture in the forms of the madman, the criminal, and in the persistence of superstition and occult knowledge pitted against reason and rationality..."," is interested in how history and the mythical intersect" (JJ.
