Yitzhak Yoresh, Israeli, born 1937.
Isaac Yoresh was born in Haifa in 1937. Between 1959 and 1966, he established a graphic design studio in Tel Aviv with his wife, Avigail Yoresh. In 1963 he began to work in animation. In 1966 he moved to Jerusalem, where he set up a private animation studio that was active until 1978. Within the framework of his work he created 35 independent short films, as well as numerous excerpts and trailers for films, television, and advertisements. Among his works are an introduction to the Open University broadcasts, an introduction to the film Ervinka (Arbinka) (1967), etc.
In 1972 he served as Head of the Art Services Department of Israeli Television. In 1971 he founded the animation department at Bezalel and headed it until 1996. He served as an animation consultant to the Israeli Film Archive and in 1983 was appointed as a consultant to the Jerusalem Film Festival. He was a member of the Board of Directors of the International Animated Film Society (ASIFA), and in 1985 was a member of the Board of Directors of BILIFA, International Organization for Animation Schools.
During the 1980s he was involved in an artistic project based on symbols and flags of the State of Israel and other countries. In 1988 he mounted an exhibition based on the image of the Israeli flag in the Israel Museum, Jerusalem. In 1996, after retiring from Bezalel, he moved to Kfar Vradim.
